Nottingham Poetry Society started in 1941 as a local branch of The Poetry Society, which was based in London. It has had many well-known members over the years, and has served as a community for Nottingham poets, holding readings, workshops, slams, and simply sharing members’ love of poetry.

This year, sadly, Nottingham Poetry Society has closed down. In its final hurrah, all members of NPS were invited to contribute poetry to one last anthology, Sailing Into Harbour. This will be launched at one final reading/party/farewell event at Five Leaves Bookshop – if you’re a current or former member of Nottingham Poetry Society you shouldn’t miss this!

Free for NPS members, but booking is required (open now).
£3 for non-members, booking opens 13th September.
