Book launch – D.H. Lawrence: a personal record by ‘E. T.’ Jessie Chambers
Wellington Place, Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, NG16 3GB
Five Leaves Publications and Haggs Farm Preservation Society invite you to join us for the launch of Jessie Chambers’ D. H. Lawrence: A Personal Record, edited by Kate Foster.
This new, affordable and modern edition includes new information on Jessie Chambers and on Haggs Farm, the house where Jessie and D.H. Lawrence – Bert – spent so long in their early, though fated relationship.
Once Lawrence had died, Jessie started to write D.H Lawrence: A Personal Record; it was published in 1935 under the initials E.T. and is a sensitive and insightful account of their friendship.
Max Plowman, 1935
Refreshments provided. Free, but please book.
We will be joined by members of the Chambers family, visiting from Canada
