Devised for adults, but not unsuitable for the odd nine-year-old.
Idiocy can be useful in educational situations when dealing with the disconnected and the confused. Examples will be given. Including failure.
Idiotic behaviour in myths and legends will be illustrated and its usage underlined:
when Icarus’s dad saw his son
starting to rise sunwards,
he was not able to call out,
‘just remember what happened to Icarus, Son!’
John Keats liked a bit of idiocy: he writes in his letters of sword fencing with celery stalks.
In response, D.H. Lawrence will be illustrated attempting to impress Frieda by tossing a cabbage leaf from his knee with the aim of landing it on his head
