A pitch black, rainy night in a small Iranian town. Inside his house the Colonel is immersed in thoughts. Memories are storming in. Memories of his wife. Memories of his years as a highly decorated officer in the Shah s army. Memories of his children, who chose their own path in life, who joined Khomeini s revolution, who followed passionate calls unto death. And then there is a knock on the door. The Colonel is summoned by two armed secret service men to come to the police station to pick up the tortured body of his youngest daughter and to bury her before sunrise according to Islamic custom. The Islamic Revolution, like every other revolution in history, has devoured its own children.
