John Fuller has published sixteen collections of poems, the latest of which is Song & Dance (Chatto and Windus, 2008) shortlisted for the Costa Poetry Award.  His Collected Poems were published in 1996, and his collection Stones and Fires won the Forward Prize in 1997.

He was recently presented with the Michael Braude Award for Light Verse by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.  He has also published nine works of fiction, of which Flying to Nowhere won a Whitbread Prize and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1983.

He is currently working on a book of poems with photographs by David Hurn, and on an opera libretto for Nicola LeFanu.
