This is Sneinton, inner city Nottingham, in the 1980s – a selection of interviews that first appeared in Sneinton Magazine. The interviews reflect some of the community at the time – the ex-heroin addict working for the Salvation Army, the CND-supporting vicar, the farmworkers’ union leader, a scrap dealer, Iranian refugees, and a veteran of first world war trenches.
Dave Ablitt has been involved in community groups and local politics for decades, always at a grassroots level.
