Booker-prize winning novelist Stan the Man wrote 42 novels, mostly set in Nottingham. Along the way he also wrote poetry, this being the first significant publication of his work.

The book was launched at Sherwood Library, followed by the unveiling of a plaque to Stanley at 42 Caledon Road in Sherwood, his old home.
