The gay liberation movement of the 1960s – bursting on the scene in the Stonewall Rebellion and the formation of the Gay Liberation Front – thought of itself as revolutionary. Was this a phantasm of the moment, wishful youthful thinking that has since then been supplanted by a more pragmatic gay rights strategy? Or is the dream in need of renewal as sexual freedom is subordinated to a corporate-funded approach that results in the military and marriage being put ahead of employment, housing, and other same-sex equality issues? Join us on Valentine’s Day to discuss love and freedom!
