Serious Justice was published by Test Centre this year and was shortlisted for the Melita Hume Poetry Prize for best unpublished collection in 2015. Her writing has appeared in Ambit, Structo, The Quietus and Best British and Irish Poets 2016. She has translated fiction, non-fiction and children’s books for Bloomsbury, Fitzcarraldo Editions, Peirene Press and Nobrow, has reviewed literature in translation for publications including the Times Literary Supplement and Modern Poetry in Translation, and recently gave a talk about translation at the Wellcome Collection. She is translator in residence at the Austrian Cultural Forum London and columnist on literature in translation for The Quietus. She is currently working on a collection of short fiction and this winter she will be writer in residence in Zurich to work on her debut novella. She plays in the punk bands Sauna Youth, Feature, Monotony and Gold Foil.
Join writer and literary translator Jen Calleja for a workshop at Nottingham Writers’ Studio on how to approach translating fiction and poetry. The workshop will be for people translating from any language into English who have either never translated literature before or are just starting out, and will aim at giving you skills and confidence, as well as tips on how to start a career as a translator.
