Tim Youngs, John Gallas and Rory Waterman – Poetry Reading

Three acclaimed East Midlands poets read from new and past work.
Tim Youngs’ poems have appeared in several print and online magazines, including The Interpreter’s House, The Journal, Lighthouse, London Grip, Poetry, Salzburg Review and Staple. He is Professor of English at Nottingham Trent University and the author or editor of many books on travel writing.
John Gallas is a New Zealand poet and a Fellow of the English Association, with 11 books published by Carcanet. His other books and pamphlets include Mad John’s Walk, relating how Gallas followed John Clare’s escape route home to Northborough from an asylum in Epping Forest.
Rory Waterman’s debut collection, Tonight the Summer’s Over (Carcanet, 2013) was a PBS Recommendation, his second is forthcoming from Carcanet in in September, and he is currently launching his first pamphlet, Brexit Day on the Balmoral Estate (Rack Press). He is Senior Lecturer in English at NTU, where he leads the MA Creative Writing.
