What is education for? What should be taught? Who should control schools? How should educational progress be measured? How much testing is too much testing? Do academy schools ‘work’?

These are just a few questions at the heart of a major debate over the future of education and schools. Many of the issues in this debate are long-standing concerns that have found relevance in new circumstances. Some of the issues are new but demand an urgent and forceful answer.

Join Louise Regan, Tom Unterrainer, Nadia Whittome and Sam Keely for the launch of this new book, published by Spokesman Books with contributions from many involved with teachers’ unions.

Admission for this event is free and refreshments will be available.

Booking is recommended. To attend this event, please RSVP to fiveleaves.bookshopevents@gmail.com
