It has long been argued that writing has a sexual orientation. But what about reading? Gregory Woods, one of the UK’s leading authorities on gay literature, will discuss the extent to which we read through the lens of our own desire. Regardless of authors, it is the gay reader who is in charge.
Gregory Woods is emeritus professor of gay and lesbian studies at Nottingham Trent University. His History of Gay Literature was published by Yale University Press in 1998.
Admission £3, refreshments available.
