Nick Jones, a doctor from Nottingham will be launching his first collection, Encounter, a deceptively simple book rich in experience and imagery, He will be joined by Maxine Linnell and Marilyn Ricci, both writers being from Leicester and members of the Soundswrite women’s poetry group. The core of Maxine’s This Dust is about the life and sudden death of her adult son, while Marilyn looks back to her parents’ lives in the print and hosiery industry. Between them they embrace the themes of joy, love, loss, and working lives.
