Five Leaves Author Interviews – Pam Thompson (online)

Pam Thompson is a poet, lecturer, tutor and reviewer based in Leicester and has a PhD in Creative Writing from De Montfort University. She is a compere and performer at Word!, a spoken-word, open-mic night at The Y Theatre in Leicester, and also one of its organisers.

Her publications include The Japan Quiz (Redbeck Press, 2008) and  Show Date and Time, (Smith-Doorstop, 2006). Pam has widely published in magazines, such as The North, The Interpreter’s House, Antiphon, The Rialto, Mslexia, Magma, Butcher’s Dog, and Under the Radar, and has had success in competitions. She was winner of the Magma Judges Prize in 2015 and a Highly Commended in the Forward Prize Anthology in the same year. In March 2017 she won 3rd Prize in the Poets and Players Poetry Competition. Pam’s reviews have appeared in The North, Under the Radar, London Grip, Sabotage Reviews, Mslexia (online), The Interpreter’s House, and Sphinx.
