The third in our series of author interviews is with Kathleen Bell, who has published poetry and short stories – her pamphlet, at the memory exchange, was published by Oystercatcher Press and has now sold out. She set up and taught on the Creative Writing programme at De Montfort University, where she was part of the team running States of Independence, a one-day book festival celebrating independent publishers, independent authors and independent thinking. In 2015 she co-edited Over Land, Over Sea, poems for those seeking refuge, an anthology published by Five Leaves whose profits were donated to Médecins Sans Frontières, Leicester City of Sanctuary and Notts Refugee Forum.

Kathleen is a regular visitor to the bookshop, and we’re very pleased to find out what she’s working on and more about her obsession with James Watt!
