Extinction Rebellion is a global activist movement of ordinary people, demanding action from Governments. This event – and the book the speakers will be talking to – is of truth and action. They will have facts to arm you, stories to empower you, and the book has pages to fill in and pages to rip out, alongside instructions on how to rebel – from organising a roadblock to facing arrest.

This event comprises the regional launch of This Is Not a Drill, in conjunction with Penguin Books and Extinction Rebellion.

XR speakers include Cathy Eastburn: musician, mother of two teenage girls, London-based XR activist, Clive Russell and Charlie Waterhouse (This Ain’t Rock’n’Roll) / XR Arts Group. Part of the team responsible for the look and feel of the movement.

Plus representatives of the local XR group and climate change strikers.

We are posting this on the day when many school students congregated on Long Row outside the shop for their climate change strike!
