Don’t Mention the Night is a memoir of music, particularly Kevin Coyne, Nick Drake and the Nottingham band Gaffa.

Nick Drake gave Five Leaves its name – a homage to his album Five Leaves Left, Nottingham writer David Belbin (some of whose books have been published by us) was a big fan, writing about him first in Liquorice magazine. Kevin Coyne was from Derby, while Gaffa were/are the most famous and best Nottingham band  that never “made it”.

At this event David will be in conversation with John Holmes about the music and the times, followed by a a full set by the classic line up of Gaffa, newly reformed.
