Community cohesion, Prevent, Trojan Horses? Teachers, governors and parents have had to develop a new vocabulary to deal with alleged plots to Islamicise schools and pupils. John Holmwood, Professor of Sociology at the University of Nottingham, will discuss this “counter-extremism agenda” with particular reference to the Birmingham Trojan Horse Affair, which led to the vilification of a previously highly-successful school.
