Bread and Roses Saturday: Marcus O’Dair on Robert Wyatt

Saturday, 22nd November, 2014
11:00 am - 12:15 pm
Friends Meeting House
25 Clarendon Street, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG1 5JD

Robert Wyatt started out as the drummer and singer for Soft Machine, who shared a residency at Middle Earth with Pink Floyd and toured America with Jimi Hendrix. He bought a Bohemian and jazz outlook to the 60s rock scene before reinventing himself as a singer and composer with Rock Bottom and Shipbuilding. His work became increasingly political, yet he remains perennially hip, guesting with Björk, Hot Chip and Eno.

Tickets: £3.00 (£2.00 conc.)
