Autism and Asperger Syndrome in AdultsLuke Beardon challenges the view that autism is a disorder. He provides an up-to-date view of autism and Asperger Syndrome. The focus of this talk will be more on adult life, including employment, education, dating and parenthood and what this means for autistic people.
This session will be of particular interest to those with autism, family and friends of autistic people and professionals working in the field.
Dr Luke Beardon is a member of staff in The Autism Centre at Sheffield Hallam University. He has been working as a practitioner in the field of autism and Asperger syndrome for around 20 years. His latest book is Autism and Asperger Syndrome in Adults.
