Saturday 23 November 2013 – on this day ten young lives were lost in America due to gun violence, across eight states. The youngest was nine, the oldest nineteen. Black, White, Latino. Gary Younge explores what this means for America, particularly for childhood and youth. He will be in conversation with Val Watson, chair of the University of Nottingham’s Black and Ethnic Minority staff group.
