Halloween (Samhain) has been claimed for an Irish invention, exported to America and returned to these islands in a different form! It was a trace of Ireland’s pagan past. Deirdre O’Byrne will be exploring Irish traditions around Halloween with a retelling of myths and legends, and readings from Irish novels where Halloween works its way in. And we’ll have some Barm Brack, Irish Halloween bread.
